musicians playing in our traditional sessions

Joe Lineen

Joe hails from Clohanbeg in the Cree parish. He is one of the younger members of the community to keep traditional music, song & dance alive in the area. Joe is a carpenter by trade, his beautiful craftmanship can be seen in many homes in the country. Joe learned to play the tin whistle in school, then progressed in the area of guitar playing & singing in pub seisuns. Later he became an accomplished uillean pipe player. He then formed the great traditional band 2 & 1/2 Irish, presently together with Jerome Bos (banjo & bouzouki), Eamonn McCarthy (low & concert flute, whistle) and Frank Healy (bass).
